It gives me immense pleasure that the University of Delhi, a Century old Institute of Eminence has acted as a torch bearer for implementation of the millennial National Education Policy 2020 with effect from the Academic Session 2022-23 with a vision to usher in a paradigm shift in teaching - learning and research in the new millennium.

Value Addition Courses have been conceived within this framework for the undergraduate studies, through Undergraduate Curriculum Framework 2022, with a view to inculcate critical and creative thinking, development of communication skills, encourage study of Indian Knowledge System among other important parameters.

I am sure this endeavour of the University will help the youth of this youthful Nation to imbibe the values and ethics pertinent to the cause of development of a knowledge society, a knowledge economy and ultimately contribute towards a Viksit Bharat by the year 2047, as envisioned by our Hon'ble Prime Minister during the Amrit Kaal of our Independence.
